Town of Lexington
Commission on Disability
Victoria Buckley, Chair
August 1, 2013
Massachusetts Architectural Access Board
One Ashburnton Place, Room 1310
Boston, MA 02108
RE: Cary Memorial Building Renovations
Donald Mills, Architect
Mills Whitaker Architects
PO Box 750089
Arlington, MA 02475
To whom it may concern:
The Lexington Commission on Disability has reviewed the plans for the
Cary Memorial Building renovations as presented at our recent meeting by Donald
Mills. He explained in detail the proposed variance relief package and why each
variance was being considered.
The Commission is in support of these variances and finds the solutions
suggested more than sufficient. We feel that the proposed variances do not
interfere with the crucial goal of the renovation project to increase overall
accessibility. We appreciate the thoughtfulness, care and practical deliberations
that went into the preparation of the variance relief package. Please consider this
letter to show our full support of the variance application for the Cary Memorial
Building.
Sincerely,
Victoria Buckley, Chair
1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420
