<br /> TOWN OF LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS <br />CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />Monday, October 6, 2014 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />Parker Room, Town Offices Building <br />1625 Massachusetts Avenue <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Phil Hamilton opened the meeting at 6:33 pm in the Parker Room of the Town Offices <br />Building. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Phil Hamilton, Joyce Miller, Alexandra Dohan, Dick Wolk and David <br />Langseth <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: Duke Bitsko <br /> <br />Others Present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Administrator and Michelle Morelli, Community <br />Development Department Assistant <br /> <br />PENDING MATTERS <br /> <br />6:33 pm Wetland Restoration Update: 14 Winthrop Road, DEP# 201-885, BL 844 <br /> Richard Kirby, LEC Environmental Consultants, Inc. was present to give an <br />update on 14 Winthrop Road. A partial certificate of compliance was issued and <br />the applicant will be submitting paperwork for a full certificate of compliance <br />due to the completion of the wetland restoration. <br /> <br />6:35 pm Informal Discussion: 65 Winter Street, Iodice property, Richard Kirby, LEC <br />Environmental Consultants, Inc. <br /> Richard Kirby, LEC Environmental Consultants, Inc. and Mark Barons, <br />Contractor were both present for this discussion. Mr. Kirby gave an overview of <br />the iodice property at 65 Winter Street. The applicant is looking to get a sense of <br />the Commission’s views on development, restoring the wetlands, invasive <br />species management and a possible vegetation management plan. Mr. Langseth <br />asked about the existing conditions of the area. The Commission discussed <br />cluster developments near the wetlands. Riverfront area is not associated with <br />this site. Ms. Mullins commented that each development needs to meet the 50’ <br />setback. Mr. Langseth commented on the lack of land management associated <br />with cluster developments. The commission discussed functioning relic <br />wetlands. Mr. Kirby explained that part of the proposal would include restoring <br />hydrology in the area. <br /> <br />6:57 pm Motion made by Ms. Miller and seconded by Mr. Wolk to issue an Order of <br />Conditions for 124 Adams Street, DEP# 201-952, BL 910, 4-0 in favor. Mr. <br />Langseth cannot vote due to not being present at the last meeting. <br /> <br /> Motion made by Ms. Miller and seconded by Mr. Wolk to issue an Order of <br />Conditions for 149 Wood Street, DEP# 201-951, BL 909, 4-0 in favor. Mr. <br />Langseth cannot vote due to not being present at the last meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
