<br />TOWN OF LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS <br />CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />Tuesday, May 6, 2014 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />Parker Room, Town Office Building <br />1625 Massachusetts Avenue <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Joyce Miller opened the meeting at 6:33 pm in the Parker Room of the Town Office <br />Building. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Joyce Miller, Phil Hamilton, Stew Kennedy (arrived at 6:33 pm), Dick <br />Wolk, and Duke Bitsko <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: David Langseth and Jane Warren <br /> <br />Others Present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Administrator and Michelle Morelli, Community <br />Development Department Assistant <br /> <br />PENDING MATTERS <br /> <br />6:33 pm Plan changes: 9 Vine Brook Road, DEP# 201-890, BL 849 <br />Ian Rubin, Markey and Rubin, Inc. presented the plan changes at 9 Vine Brook <br />Road. Mr. Rubin described the eco-stone paver patio with a fire pit and retaining <br />wall. Mr. Rubin also discussed native shrub and tree plantings in the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Hamilton asked Mr. Rubin to point out the location of the 25-foot Buffer <br />Zone and Mr. Rubin stated that all work will occur within the 50-foot Buffer <br />Zone. Ms. Miller asked for submittal of runoff calculations and paver details. <br />Mr. Wolk asked for a plan showing the original approved project and the plan <br />changes. Mr. Hamilton commented that the plan changes need to be submitted to <br />the Commission as an Amendment to the Order of Conditions. Mr. Kennedy <br />agrees with Mr. Hamilton. Mr. Bitsko asked for more information regarding the <br />drainage calculations with the inclusion of a summary table for the original <br />calculations and addition of the plan changes. <br /> <br />6:44 pm Compliance order: 20 Banks Avenue, DEP# 201-858, BL 816 <br /> Steve Lawrenson, Contractor and Ian Rubin, Markey and Rubin, Inc. were <br />present for this discussion. Mr. Kennedy asked if the pumping of water on <br />neighboring properties had ceased. <br /> <br /> Motion made and seconded to approve the plan change to add 7.5 inches of <br />concrete to the basement floor elevation, 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />6:55 pm Wetlands restoration plan: 442 Marrett Road <br />Ms. Mullins gave a brief update stating the property owner engaged Rich Kirby <br />to develop a restoration plan to be implemented. The Commission postponed the <br />restoration plan proposal until May 20, 2014. <br /> <br /> <br />
