<br />TOWN OF LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS <br />CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />Tuesday, April 8, 2014 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />Parker Room, Town Office Building <br />1625 Massachusetts Avenue <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Joyce Miller opened the meeting at 6:32 pm in the Parker Room of the Town Office <br />Building. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Joyce Miller, Phil Hamilton, Stew Kennedy, David Langseth (arrived at <br />6:33 pm), Duke Bitsko and Jane Warren <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: Dick Wolk <br /> <br />Others Present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Administrator and Michelle Tassi, Community <br />Development Department Assistant <br /> <br />PENDING MATTERS <br /> <br />6:32 pm Conservation Restriction: Shire <br />Peter Corbett, Attorney for Shire, Carmine Tedesco and Michael Holland, Shire <br />were present for this discussion. Mr. Corbett explained the status and <br />outstanding issues regarding future installation of utilities. <br /> <br />Motion made and seconded to approve reserved rights to maintain the right to <br />install utilities within the gravel access road, 6-0 in favor. <br /> <br />6:42 pm Plan change: 62 Grassland Street, DEP# 201-901, BL 860 <br />Rich Kirby, LEC Environmental, Janice Brown, Homeowner/applicant, and Al <br />Gala, Gala Simon Associates, Inc. were present. Mr. Kirby explained the <br />proposed plan change to shift the walkway 1.5 feet away from the house and <br />increase the width of the walkway by 2.5-3 feet. <br /> <br />Mr. Bitsko asked if permeable paver details were submitted. Mr. Kirby replied <br />that they were previously submitted with the original filing. <br /> <br />Motion made and seconded to approve the plan change at 62 Grassland Street, <br />6-0 in favor. <br /> <br />6:50 pm Plan change: Whipple Hill pond outlet bridge, DEP# 201-899, BL 858 <br /> Don Grant, Conservation steward, presented the plan change for the revised <br />boardwalk crossing. Mr. Grant described the changes and dimensions for the <br />boardwalk crossing. <br /> <br /> Mr. Langseth commented that the bridge and boardwalk at the pond outlet is <br />needed in the area and more sensible than stepping stones. <br /> <br /> <br />
