Commission on Disability, Minutes September 4, 2014 <br />5:45 -7:00 PM in the Parker Room, G -15, ground floor of Town Hall. <br />In Attendance: Victoria Buckley, Chair, Linda Vine, Harry MacKay, Michael Martignetti, Julie <br />Miller, Sue Cusack, <br />• The Commission reviewed and adopted the new town policy for official public email <br />address for each board, committee, and commission: to facilitate open public <br />communication and ensure that electronic messages are archived as required by <br />state law. <br />• Discussion of Grain Mill Alley Public Workshop 2 on September 11 7:OOpm- 9:OOpm, <br />at The Depot - GroundView Design will present at least two design concepts for <br />review and comment to solicit information to develop one refined design for <br />workshop 3, tentatively scheduled for October 2. Sue Cusack will attend. <br />• Secretarial duties for the Commission. Sue Cusack will provide initial support and <br />the commission members will fill in when she is unavailable <br />• We requested from Linda an update on the Clarke elevator project. <br />• Linda shared that the Public Facilities Department is responsible for overseeing and <br />updating the Title 2 ADA Study and Maintenance Work. <br />• The Warrant closes December 31St. We will be researching how to move a resolution <br />forward about brick sidewalks. <br />• We are unsure who is the Board of Selectman rep to the CoD now that Hank Manz <br />has stepped down; Linda will check for us. <br />• We asked Linda to check with maintenance to see if the timing on the automatic <br />door on the ground floor of Town Hall at the rear parking lot entryway can be <br />adjusted to stay open longer <br />• October meeting date — The date has been changed from 10/2 to 10/9 <br />• Additional new business and update on new projects <br />
