<br />Commission of Disability <br />Minutes of Meeting on August 1, 2013 <br />Members Present: <br />Victoria Buckley, Chair, Linda Vine, Assistant Town Manager and ADA Coordinator, <br />Julie Miller, Susan Cusack, Len Morse-Fortier <br />Approval of past minutes <br />Presentation by Don Mills – <br />project is now in design and implementation phase <br />and needs a different AAB variance – for small details such as the downstairs <br />hallways are ramps without landings. Commission supports the variance <br />because the plans are more than sufficient, they are practical and thoughtful, and <br />the design committee has been very thorough. The Commission thanked Don <br />Mills for keeping them posted at all times. <br />Discussion of how to proceed with handicapped parking fines <br />Annual report to cover different time span (July to June) due 8/30/13 – <br />Commission agreed to have Victoria draft the new report to reflect the different <br />time span. <br />Parking issues for businesses in Lexington – <br />follow up from Len not <br />completed yet. <br />Parker Meadow Accessibility – <br />CDC grant for Beaver Pond accessibility – <br />ongoing updates from Michael Martignetti as the liaison will need to wait as <br />Michael was unable to attend. <br />Additional new business and update on new projects – <br />no new items to <br />discuss <br />
