I Own Of I ekliigtaili
Bicycle Advisory Committee
08 Apiril 2020 / 7:00 IRM / Via Zoom
ATTENDEES
Members: Kevin Falcone, Bob Hausslein, Matthias Beebe, Mike Tabaczynski , Jim
Cadenhead, Betty Gau, Omar Khudari
Members Absent: Peggy Enders, George Gagliardi
Also Attending: Susan Barrett (Transportation Manager) , Ram Reddy
NOTES
February Minutes Approved
Susan Barrett presenting on the May events hjjD or
.LjIexbjkewalkbus
May Bike Month Proclamation to the Select Board, in September with September
22nd Car Free Day
Light up the Night - most popular item was the Blinking Clip On lights, and
most people took the "combo pack". Very/Somewhat effective at raising
awareness. 3000' of respondents were "Very Likely" to choose active
transportation more because of the kit. Good Dutch Reach buy-in also. We'll
pull in the notes but many folks wanted better infrastructure and were
interested in active transportation, but had to skip it because of conflicts.
GCC would like 5 new map sites on the bikeway for the ACROSS Lexington
interconnects. Sixteen maps across the paths 14"x18" with "You are Here" and
sign on how to move through the system. Eight foot 4x4 post and signs at "eye
height" for folks to read. Voted to prepare a letter for the GCC to use when
presenting to the Select Board.
