<br />PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE <br />HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION <br />Minutes of Thursday, May 1, 2014, Selectmen Meeting Room, Town Hall Building at 7:00PM <br />Commissioners present: Joseph Welch, Chairman, Lynn Hopkins, Robert Warshawer, Paul Ross, and <br />Daniel Griffin <br />Associate Commissioners: Marilyn Fenollosa, Jon Wardwell, B. Feldman, B. McCarthy <br />Department Clerk: Linda Rainville <br /> <br /> <br />7:00 PM <br />7 Harrington Road <br />: Daniel Klasnick, from Verizon Wireless presented plans for a concealed <br />wireless system to be installed at the First Parish Church. The majority of components will be <br />inside. The condensers will be in back of the building. There will be an 8 foot fence around the <br />generator. The generator will be on a 4’ x 8’ pad. They will replace the windows in the steeple <br />with fiberglass. There will be no visual change. Eric Wainwright, Construction Manager, <br />explained that the material will be RF friendly (fiberglass, acrylic, plastic resin). An antenna will <br />be placed behind the windows, painted black. A GPS antenna will be on the back railing, <br />extending about 12” above, painted white.The Commission asked for samples of the <br />replacement windows and dimensions of the generator. <br />Continued to the June meeting. <br />7:05 PM <br />2 Rowland Avenue: <br />Robert Coyne showed the Commission plans to install an A/C compressor <br />behind shrubbery on the side of the house. Conduit will run up the side of the house into the <br />attic, painted to match the house. He also brought in pictures of a storm door (Brosco, ultra <br />view, HC#155) to be installed at the front door. <br />All in Favor <br />2014C-3 <br />7:10 PM <br />1734 Massachusetts Avenue <br />: Alicia Hudon, presented plans for a blade sign to be installed in <br />front of the Jewelry store. The sign will be hung from a heavy duty black rod iron bracket. It <br />will be hung to the right of the store at the same height as the neighboring signs. <br />All in Favor <br />2014C-4 <br />CONTINUED HEARINGS <br />1727 Massachusetts Avenue: <br /> Andrew Falkenstein presented changes in signage. The lights <br />will be replaced with gooseneck lights in dark bronze. They decided not to have an awning and <br />no Blade Sign. They will paint the water table, door and window frames brown. The steel <br />window frames and light supports will also be painted brown. <br />Four in favor, one opposed <br />2014C-5 <br />1709 Massachusetts Avenue: <br />Peter Darlow, exterior architectural changes in the Battle Green District. <br />No one appeared. <br /> <br />
