Hanscom Field Environmental Status and Planning Report (ESPR) <br />Dear Secretary Sullivan and Director Buckley: <br />The Massachusetts Port Authority ( Massport) is pleased to submit for your review this 2012 L.G. <br />Hanscom Field Environmental Status and Planning Report (2012 ESPR) (EEA #5484/8696). <br />The 2012 ESPR is being submitted in accordance with the provisions of the Massachusetts <br />Environmental Policy Act (MEPA), G.L. Chapter 30, Sections 62 -62H and its implementing <br />regulations, 301 Code of Massachusetts Regulations (CMR) 11.00. The 2012 ESPR responds to <br />your May 18, 2012, Certificate on the Proposed Scope for the 2012 ESPR. <br />Massport is requesting an extension of the public comment period to approximately 60 days with <br />the close of public comments on March 11, 2014. The MEPA consultation session is tentatively <br />scheduled for March 3, 2014 at 5pm in the Civil Air Terminal (first floor) at Hanscom Field. <br />Massport will also be presenting the 2012 ESPR at the monthly meeting of the Hanscom Area <br />Town Selectmen (HATS) meeting on February 27, 2014 at 7pm at the Bedford Town Hall. <br />Three additional technical meetings are scheduled for 6:00pm on January 29, February 5, and <br />February 11, 2014 in the Civil Air Terminal (first floor) at Hanscom Field. <br />Members of Massport staff are available to discuss the attached document with you at your <br />earliest convenience.
