<br /> <br />TOWN OF LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS <br />CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />Tuesday, July 2, 2013 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Parker Room, Town Office Building <br />1625 Massachusetts Avenue <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Joyce Miller opened the meeting at 7:36 pm in the Parker Room of the Town <br />Office Building. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Joyce Miller, Stew Kennedy, Dick Wolk, Jane Warren, and <br />Duke Bitsko <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: David Langseth and Phil Hamilton <br /> <br />Others Present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Administrator and Michelle Tassi, <br />Community Development Department Assistant <br /> <br />7:36 pm Meeting – RDA, 210 Lincoln Street <br /> DET# 13-13 <br />Construction of a patio and pergola within the 100-foot Buffer Zone of <br />Bordering Vegetated Wetland <br />Documentation: RDA Application 6/12/13 <br />Present for the Applicant: Brigitte Steines, Homeowner <br /> <br />Ms. Steines proposed construction of a 20’ by 21’ patio and pergola. Ms. <br />Steines described manual excavation for the footings and the proposal for <br />a garden wall. <br /> <br /> Comments from the Commission as follows: <br />Mr. Kennedy asked for clarification on the erosion controls and limit of <br />work line because they are not shown on the plan. Mr. Bitsko asked for <br />more documentation on the porous surface spaces for the patio pavers. The <br />Commission will condition both of these issues. <br /> <br />Motion made and seconded to issue a negative determination with <br />standard conditions as well as two additional conditions, 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />7:47 pm Hearing – AmendOOC, 9 Brown Road <br /> DEP# 201-772, BL 731 <br />Construction of a patio within the 200-foot Riverfront Area <br />Documentation: Permit Site Plan of Land, Concept Plan, and Letter from <br />Mark DiNapoli 5/30/13, and Letter from Meridian Associates 6/28/13 <br /> <br />
