• Tony Barrie still thinks that he can march in both Arlington's and Lexington's <br />parades though he has been told he cannot. <br />• Middlesex County Sheriff's Office is sending an honor guard to both the <br />Arlington and Lexington parades. The sheriff will try to participate in both <br />parades. <br />• Representative Edward Markey has not said that he will attend. <br />• Floats Update.Laura Hopkins (Seasons Four), Bill Hubner (Incite Architecture) and Joe <br />Rancatore ( Rancatore Ice Cream) are float judges. <br />• Media. <br />• Susan O'Keefe will announce the parade from the reviewing stand with Sam <br />Doran assisting. <br />• Suzie has heard from LexMedia. They will set up at the library corner of <br />Massachusetts Avenue. <br />• Linda Dixon's article on recollections of past parades featuring interviews with <br />Winston Flynn, Bob Tracey and Dick Michelson appeared in the April 4, 2013 <br />edition of the Minuteman. <br />• Patriots' Day Weekend events were published in Sunday's April 7, 2013 Boston <br />Globe MetroWest section. <br />• Parade Ambassadors. <br />• Thirty -six ambassadors have signed on with two reserves to spare. Each will <br />receive a t -shirt and pair of gloves. <br />• Cart drivers are asked to come to the fire station to help carry ambassadors and <br />banners to the sponsored unit. <br />• Sponsorship Update.We have sixteen community sponsors yielding half as much <br />financial support as last year.Supplemental funds may need to be requested from Town <br />Meeting to help pay expenses. <br />• Miscellaneous. <br />• Bob Tracey will buy water for the parade. <br />• Military vehicles will be placed at the end of the parade. <br />• Suzie increased the number of buses this year to five. <br />• Two buses will be available at St. Brigid's at 12:45 pm to transport the <br />Minutemen to east Lexington. <br />• Dave Taylor's truck will be parkedat the town pool for banner collection. <br />Patriots' Day, Monday, April 15, 2013 <br />• Reenactment.We are expecting the following visitors to attend — three, possibly four <br />colonels from Hanscom AFB; British Consul General Susie Kitchens and family; and <br />Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army Richard Kidd IV and son. <br />
