Veterans' Breakfast Update, Saturday, November 2, 2013 <br />• Food.Suzie spoke with Neillio's and they are willing to prepare the same meal as last <br />year for the same price. <br />• Publicity. <br />• Ryan Lennon is submitting breakfast details for the October edition of the senior <br />center newsletter. Information will be sent to the Colonial Timesforthe <br />September publication. <br />• Save - the -date postcardswill be mailed soon and fliers will be available for <br />posting. Deadline for ticket sales is set for Monday, October 28 <br />• Speaker.Event speaker is as yet unnamed. Julie Miller will have information on the <br />matter for the committee by this coming Friday. <br />• Invitee. Jim Corcoran's(Hanscom PR office) retirement party will be held on Thursday, <br />September 26 ". Members should tell Suzie if any are interested in attending. <br />• Door Prizes. The committee has reviewed Dick Crogan and Sandy Podgorski's list of <br />prospective solicitees. Dick presented his sample certificate of appreciation to be given <br />to each of the donors. <br />• Miscellaneous. The Lexington Minutemen will serve as honor guard. <br />Veterans' Day Update, Monday, November 11, 2013 <br />• Parade. The parade steps off at 10 am from the Hosmer House (site of the former <br />school administration building); ceremony convenes at the new permanent location, <br />Cary Hall, following the parade through town. Suzie reviewed the logistics of the <br />parade. <br />• Chief Marshal. Not finalized at this time. <br />• Participating Groups. <br />■ Their information will be available this week. <br />■ William Diamond Fife & Drum will participate in both the parade and <br />indoor ceremony. <br />■ The Master Singers have been invited to sing. We should know soon if <br />they are available. <br />• Wreaths. Bob Tracey will order the wreaths. <br />• Maps /Duties. Both will be ready by next meeting. <br />• Program. <br />o Clergy. Linda Dixon asked the Interfaith Council to appointment someone. At <br />the same time, she requested the council to consider our need for a clergy <br />representative on Patriots' Day 2014. <br />
