,S US Mop <br />pQ` 1 775 ` �(3 <br />APRIL 11- <br />k /NG'V <br />APPROVED MEETING MINUTES <br />Committee Name: Lexington Bicycle Advisory Committee <br />Date, Time and Location of Meeting: June 13, 2013, 7 pm, Town Office Building <br />Members Present: Peggy Enders (Chair), Bob Dangel, Stew Kennedy, Bob Hausslein <br />(FoLB Chair), George Gagliardi, Mike Tabaczynski, Richard Canale (Planning Board <br />Liaison), Sandra Shaw (Recreation Committee Liaison) <br />Member Absent: Patria Lanfranchi, John Frey, Marita Hartshorn <br />Others Present: Laurel Carpenter <br />Minutes: The May 2013 minutes were accepted as submitted. <br />Input to Selectmen's Goal Setting: Peggy said that the committee's input to the <br />Selectmen has been submitted; thanks to Laurel and Bob Dangel for helping to beef up <br />the recommendations. Peggy said that she will share the document with others, as well. <br />Bikeway Intersection Safety: Peggy said would set up a meeting with the town <br />engineers to talk about plans for upgrading some of the more dangerous intersections — <br />particularly Hancock and Revere Streets. Such a meeting would also provide a chance <br />to talk about bike accommodation plans on streets that have been recently paved (e.g., <br />Lincoln and Adams) or are currently being worked on (e.g., Old Mass Ave, Bedford <br />Street). <br />DCR Wayfinding and Bike Map Projects Status: <br />a. Toole Design Group Open House: No word yet on the final report from <br />Toole Group. The next phase of the project will require strong support <br />from the Town as well as good collaboration among the three bikeway <br />towns. <br />b. Bikeway Map: Ten thousand copies of the 13x19" map were printed in late <br />May! It is also posted as pdf's on the Minuteman Bikeway website, and <br />publicity has gone out to newspapers in the three towns, the Globe, etc. <br />Liaison Reports: Dick Canale talked about the Healthy Communities project. <br />According to a recent survey, the Bikeway is the highest rated resource in the Town, and <br />transportation- related safety was the highest rated issue. The next phase of the Healthy <br />Communities project begins in September. He would like to use the opportunity to <br />
