Commission on Disability <br />Meeting Minutes for May 9, 2012 <br />5: 45pm to 7: 00 pm <br />Stone Room Cary Hall <br />Members Present: Victoria Buckley, Susan Cusack, Janice Cyr, Julie Miller, Michael <br />Martinetti, Francine Stieglitz and Jennifer Williams. <br />Members Not Present: Leonard Morse - Fortier, Hank Manz, Janet Perry <br />Staff: Linda Vine <br />Meeting began at 5:55 PM. <br />1. Minutes for April 5, 2012 meeting approved unanimously. <br />2. Review of Title II — discussion on how the CoD can best prioritize items in project. <br />Suggestions for approaches: <br />a. Review building to building <br />b. Target DLP — Developmental Learning Programs —at Harrington (hearing <br />needs), Clark (does not have an accessible bathroom) and LABB schools first. <br />c. Focus on access in and out, using facility and the bathrooms. <br />d. Prioritize the buildings to be reviewed. We could to leave Estabrook, <br />Bowman and Bridge and appropriations for Senior Center out of review <br />because they will be rebuilt /renovated within the next few months. <br />e. Review where is access actually blocked and where the high traffic areas <br />exist. <br />f. CoD members agreed to prioritize schools first, then the library and to <br />dedicate the next meeting to review and prioritize the list. The meeting will <br />start at 5:30 and will focus on Community /public areas - public spaces — with <br />schools and the library first, then prioritize where people with disabilities <br />"have to be ". <br />• Review of how to be involved with the Lexington 300 plans —Town Celebrations <br />Committee. Will discussed further at a future meeting. <br />a. Opening Day is — September 22nd and will run through March 2012. <br />b. There is a Transportation Subcommittee - Shuttle buses for housing villages, <br />Clark Diamond and Harrington. <br />Community Center Task Force Survey <br />a.
