<br /> <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Town Celebrations Committee <br />November 7, 2012 <br />Estabrook Hall at Cary Hall <br /> <br />Members Present <br />Suzie Barry, Dick Crogan, Linda Dixon, Jo-Anne Granger, Paul Jenkins, Julie Miller, Wayne Miller, <br />Bill Mix, Henry Murphy, Sandy Podgorski and Charlie Price <br /> <br />Members Not Present <br />Mary Gillespie, Sondra Lucente, Jim Shaw, Dave Taylor and Bob Tracey <br /> <br />Business <br /> <br />Suzie Barry convened the meeting at 5:15 pm. <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes for November 1, 2012 were approved with one change. <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting schedule through May 2013 was distributed. <br /> <br /> <br />Committee members voted to cancel the November 14, 2012 meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />Next meeting will be held on December 5, 2012, 7 pm at the DPW building. At that <br /> <br />time, the committee will give Veterans’ Day feedback, launch Patriots’ Day planning, <br />approve applications and discuss chief marshal options. <br /> <br />Veterans’ Breakfast 2012 Report <br />Guest speaker Rep. Harold Naughton’s speech was well received. Mark Callahan was <br /> <br />o <br />guest soloist. <br />Suzie reserved the first Saturday in November 2013 for the next breakfast. <br /> <br />o <br />Rotary Club volunteers did a superb job with food service. Suzie will thank them for <br /> <br />o <br />their support. <br />The sign up process for attending the breakfast was discussed. Linda Dixon will <br /> <br />o <br />construct a survey to send to veteran attendees to gain feedback about the event and <br />to determine where we can make improvements. <br />Marie Hill will compile a list of veterans’ addresses. <br /> <br />o <br />Assign someone to count attendees. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Regarding food – <br /> <br />Neillio’s provided food of 150 people. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br /> <br />
