Lexington Human Rights Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 2, 2011 <br />Present: Albert Zabin, Bob Kent, Linda Vine, Melissa Bucharta, Michael McLean, <br />Emily Lavine, Leona Martin, Puran Dang, Hank Manz, Arthur Katz, and Nancy Earsy <br />Absent: Fuang -Ping Huang, Bonnie Brodner <br />Meeting was called to order at 8:05 am. <br />First order of business was the group photo taken for the annual Town Report. <br />Review of the report prepared by Leona Martin on the November 6 th program, please see <br />attached. A special thank you given to Program Committee members Nancy Earsy and <br />Susan Bennett, along with Cynthia Johnson from Cary Memorial Library with her work <br />on the brochure. <br />Al announced he sent a formal letter to the BOS requesting that all open positions be <br />filled on the LHRC. <br />Police Report provided by Lt. Michael McLean — regarding an incident at Cary Memorial <br />Library between a patron and a group of younger patrons. The resident was issued a no <br />trespass order. Human Services is following the situation. <br />School Report by Melissa Buchar announced a fundraiser for Waltham House. <br />Puran Dang will invite Koren Stembridge, (new Cary Library Director) to a future <br />meeting of the Committee so that she may become acquainted with the group. <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:00 a.m. with the goal of planning a future meeting the end of <br />January or early February 2012. <br />
