Votes: Minutes of June 20 meeting approved 2. Reports: Status of "recommended routes" solicitation (Rick): • via email - the notice soliciting route information is beginning to appear on various town lists and information is coming in Commission on Disability meeting (Stew): • any structure on public land or for public use must comply with CMR521 (state law regulating accessibility), per information provided and described by Garry Rhodes, Lexington Building Commissioner • per CMR521, boardwalks such as Stewards build should be 48" wide • Enforcement is not official responsibility of Conservation Commission or Division • GCC and Stewards should consider regulations on future projects Safe Routes to School (SR2S) (Peggy): • Peggy spoke w/ SR2S head, Judy Crocker, at length • SR2S might/should be good collaborator for GCC; SR2S can fundraise where necessary for GCC identified trails (Stewards may be involved in construction) • SR2S may have prioritized list of routes that GCC can use as resource • Peggy will attend SR2S September meeting • Alex will forward Slobodtchikov email to Peggy for Judy Crocker West Lexington Greenway Master Plan (Stew): • documents ready late on July 18 or early on 19 for download • 25% design plan ready in next week or two 3. Old Business: Discussion of design standard for Minuteman Connector portion of West Lexington Greenway (Keith): comment [xci] : concom Will • TWO options for Greenway Connector: likely not approve stone dust or other 1) general use "unimproved" trail w/ boardwalks gill" material due to wet land 2) VHB designed all season route - restrictions so I think it best to delete mention.
