Votes: <br />• September 24 meeting Minutes - approved <br />• October 17 ACROSS Lexington Subcommittee Minutes -approved <br />2. Current Business Review: <br />• Report on ACROSS Lexington project (Rick/Alex/Eileen) —The logo signs are up <br />and the arrow signs will be up soon. There are a couple of posts still to be set, but <br />the pilot route is basically ready to go. <br />• ACROSS Lexington now has a website on the Town page — acrosslexington.org. <br />Rick will monitor any comments that come in. <br />• Citizens for Lexington Conservation is sponsoring a walk on the pilot route on <br />Sunday, October 28 at 9:30am. <br />• Peggy is interested in video -ing the route. <br />• The grant proposal for Community Preservation Act funds is nearly complete. It <br />requests funds over the next 3 years for completion of the ACROSSLexington <br />route system. Stew recommended speaking with Karen Simmons (Recreation) <br />about working together. <br />• Regardless of CPA funding, planning will go ahead on the next segments. <br />• GCC will need to continue working with Planning, DPW and others on future <br />routes. <br />• Mike suggested getting feedback on the pilot route, and planning out the entire <br />system before beginning to mark the next route. <br />• We need to look into the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan for <br />Lexington by VHB — titled "The Lexington We Want ". Recommended reading <br />for all GCC members before the next meeting. <br />• Looking ahead, we should think about possible routes, walking what is on the <br />proposed map, and considering what is in the Transportation Element. Should we <br />hold a Public Meeting to get input? <br />• Rick brought up the idea of hybrid funding should we need it. <br />3. Current Business Updates: <br />• Wood Street trail improvement (Keith) —Project is on hold as abutters have sued <br />Town. Town will do survey, and Stew, Keith, Karen Mullins, Jay Sklar, Duke <br />Bitsko and Carl Valente have met to discuss next steps. <br />
