1980 Annual Report <br />Town of Lexington <br />Massachusetts <br />A Limited Edition Town Report <br />Only 1500 copies of the 1980 Town Report <br />were printed, a drastic reduction from <br />previous years when more than 10,000 copies <br />were printed and distributed to every <br />household in town by the Boy and Girl <br />Scouts. <br />We regret this cutback, but Proposition 21 12 <br />left no choice. Economies were effected by the <br />smaller print run and tighter editing. The <br />intent of town -wide distribution, and of the <br />department /committee narrations in Part I, <br />was to improve communication between town <br />officials and citizens and to generate greater <br />citizen participation in town government. <br />Copies of this limited edition may be obtained <br />at Town Meeting and the Town Manager's <br />office, and may be read or borrowed at Cary <br />Library and the Council on Aging.
