<br />TOWN OF LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS <br />CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />Tuesday, October 2, 2012 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Parker Room, Town Office Building <br />1625 Massachusetts Avenue <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Joyce Miller opened the meeting at 7:00 pm in the Parker Room of the Town <br />Offices Building. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Joyce Miller, Phil Hamilton, Jane Warren, Stew Kennedy, Duke <br />Bitsko, and Dick Wolk. <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: David Langseth <br /> <br />Others Present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Administrator and Michelle Tassi, <br />Conservation Department Assistant <br /> <br />7:00 pm Motion made by role call vote to enter executive session under Exemption <br /> 6 to discuss the Valleyfield Street property, 6-0 in favor. It is declared that <br /> an open session would have a detrimental effect on the Town’s negotiating <br /> position. The commission will return to open session at the conclusion of <br /> executive session. <br /> <br />7:30 pm Meeting – RDA, 133 Worthen Road <br /> DET# 12-20 <br /> Construction of a sunroom on an existing concrete deck within the 100- <br /> foot Buffer Zone <br /> Documentation: RDA Application <br />Present for the Applicant: Arun Mukherjee - Homeowner and Rich Garrin <br />- Patio Enclosures <br /> <br /> Mr. Garrin proposed construction of a 10’ x 12’ sunroom on an existing <br />concrete slab. He stated that the sunroom supports would be dug down by <br />using small hand tools. Mr. Garrin commented that the sunroom can be <br />moved over about 5 feet if it needs to stay out of the sewer easement. <br /> <br />Comments from the Commission as follows: <br />Ms. Miller read the engineering report, which included two separate <br />emails. Ms. Miller asked if surveyors had been out to the site to determine <br />if 5 feet would be enough to move the sunroom over. Ms. Mullins <br />commented that town sewer easements are meant for maintaining <br />purposes and the building department will require a plot plan. Mr. <br />Hamilton asked where the runoff would go from the roof and suggested <br /> <br />
