<br />MINUTES – LEXINGTON CONSERVATION COMMISSION March 6, 2012 <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioners present: Phil Hamilton, Charlie Wyman, Stew Kennedy, Duke Bitsko, Dick <br />Wolk, David Langseth <br /> <br />Commissioners absent: Joyce Miller <br /> <br />Others present: Karen Mullins, Conservation Administrator; Louise Vinci, Conservation Clerk <br /> <br />Chair Phil Hamilton opened the meeting at 7:30 pm in the Room G-15, Town Office Building <br /> <br />7:30 pm Hearing: NOI, Old Reservoir, <br /> DEP# 201-849, BL 807; Map 33, Lot 99 <br />Present for the applicant: David Cannon, Lexington Engineering Dept. <br /> Bernward Hay, The Louis Berger Group, Inc. <br /> Jim Robinson, The Louis Berger Group, Inc. <br />Documentation: Notice of Intent with attachments <br /> Public Notice <br /> <br />David Cannon introduced project. Bernward Hay described project background. <br />Jim Robinson presented overview of project including two options. <br /> <br />Comments fro m the Commission follow: Stew Kennedy question the projects <br />time line. The Commission questioned the retention basin. They were concern <br />about number of trees removed, questioned operation and maintenance plan, <br />suggested using plants and soils to treat runoff and would like to see a smaller <br />basin that would reduce the amount of natural vegetation removed. The <br />Commission would like to see the applicant revisit design. <br /> <br />Motion made and seconded to continue hearing to April 3, 2012 at the applicant’s <br />request, 6-0 in favor. <br /> <br />8: 25 pm Meeting: RDA, 8 Lake Street <br /> DET# 12-05, Map 50, Lot 151 <br />Present for the applicant: Robert Leslie, applicant <br />Documentation: Request for Determination of Applicability with attachments <br /> Public Notice <br /> <br /> Robert Leslie presented a plan to remove a pool and patio. <br /> <br />Comments from the Commission follow: The Commission would like to <br />condition that erosion control be installed. <br /> <br />Motion made and seconded to issue a negative determination with conditions, 6-0 <br />in favor. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />
