MINUTES <br />Greenways Corridor Committee <br />November 26, 2012, 4:30 -6 pm <br />Legion Room, Cary Hall <br />Members Present Rick Abrams, Alex Dohan, Peggy Enders, Eileen Entin, Bob Hausslein, Paul <br />Knight, Keith Ohmart, Mike Tabaczynski <br />Members Absent none <br />Other Attendees Stew Kennedy (Conservation Commission liaison), Howie Vogel (Recreation <br />Committee liaison) <br />1. Votes: <br />• October 22 meeting Minutes - approved <br />2. Current Business Review: <br />• Report on ACROSS Lexington project (Rick/Alex/Eileen) —The grant proposal <br />for Community Preservation Act funds has been submitted. It will go before <br />Town Counsel for approval under CPA guidelines and the CPC will publish a list <br />of recommended projects. <br />• Rick is monitoring comments that come in on the A CROSS Lexington web site on <br />the Town page — acrosslexington.org. <br />• A few spots have been re- signed to clarify the route. <br />• Parking areas should be marked on the map. <br />• Maps are at the Library and will go to The Running Co. <br />• Next Steps discussion included consideration of the whole ACROSS system, <br />including signage and crosswalks. We need to work with Planning and DPW on <br />our long range vision in those areas. <br />• We could sample "Route B" options during Bike/Walk week in May. <br />Current Business Updates: <br />• Wood Street trail improvement (Keith) — Abutters' lawsuit is pending. No further <br />GCC action can take place until that is resolved. <br />• Committee Vacancy (Keith) - Rick has spoken with Aaron Ladd, a Lexington <br />native with an MA in urban planning, also asst. running coach at LHS. Rick will <br />invite him to the December meeting. <br />• West Lexington Greenway Master Plan Report to BoS (Stew/Rick/Peggy) — Keith <br />and others spoke with Carl Valente, who suggested an executive summary. Keith <br />will draft a Summary, breaking the Plan into discrete elements and stating next <br />steps and an implementation plan to be presented to Selectboard, Planning, <br />Recreation, DPW and other interested committees. Draft summary to be presented <br />to GCC for comments. <br />• Lexington 300 walk —discuss at December meeting. <br />4. New Business: <br />
