Minutes of the meeting of Monday, May 21, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. Room G -15 Members Present: Kerry Brandin, Bebe Fallick, Carla Fortmann, Dawn McKenna Staff: Masha Traber Absent: Mary Jo Bohart, Mary Gillespie, Nicole Lewis, Paul O'Shaughnessy, John Patrick, Denise Ricketts, Lou Sideris, Jim Shaw 1) Miscellaneous a) No quorum was present. b) Trip Advisor had given us mugs which were passed out. c) The Tourism Committee business cards are available should anyone wish to use them. 2) Liberty Ride Operations a) Masha gave a brief update on Liberty Ride Operations. Having the starting location at the Visitors Center is having a positive impact. b) The Liberty Ride and Battle Green Guides will have training this week. During the training Masha will review the script changes and will emphasize the importance of encouraging guests to "Linger in Lexington" and patronize the businesses. c) Masha mentioned that lawn mowing at 3 pm is problematic and that we needed to request that the mowing of the Battle Green be completed before 10 am. 3) Revolutionary Revelry a) Observations to date were mentioned. b) Upcoming events include Paul Revere's Trolley Ride and the Capstone Picnic. 4) 2012 -2013 Visitors Guide Help is needed to verify businesses and identify new businesses so this copy can be done. We discussed the idea Christopher Bing had for making the brochure more of a souvenir piece. It will be deferred to a future meeting with a quorum present. 5) Design Concept for Antony Park The current progress of the Antony Park project was discussed.
