Minutes of the meeting of <br />Monday, April 9, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. <br />Room G -15 <br />Members Present: Mary Jo Bohart, Bebe Fallick, Carla Fortmann, Dawn McKenna, John Patrick, <br />Denise Ricketts, <br />Staff: Masha Traber <br />Guests: Linda Vine, Salley Castleman, Sara Arnold <br />Absent: Kerry Brandin, Mary Gillespie, Nicole Lewis, Paul C'Shaughnessy, Lou Sideris, Jim Shaw <br />1) Executive Session <br />Upon Motion made and duly seconded, by roll call vote, the Committee voted to go into <br />executive session for Exemption 2 to return to public session at approximately 4:15 p.m. <br />2) Lexpress bus design <br />Members of the Transportation Advisory Committee were present to discuss the proposed <br />design for the new Lexpress buses. The design is similar to the graphics used for the Liberty <br />Ride. Concern had been expressed that it might be confusing for tourists and should not be <br />used. The majority of the Committee felt it was a nice design and would be a complement to <br />Liberty Ride operations. <br />3) Liberty Ride Operations <br />a) The new brochures were presented. <br />b) A report on the assistant coordinator interviews was presented. <br />4) Antony Park <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously voted to confirm the hiring of <br />Studio 2112 and to authorize the expenditure of funds in the Antony Gift Account through <br />Design Development. <br />5) Use of Marketing Funds <br />a) Upon motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously voted to spend $299 for <br />3 slide on the LCD screens at the Greater Boston Visitors Center on Boston Common <br />for one year. <br />b) Upon motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously voted to spend up to <br />$3000 for the people counter and associated data collection costs <br />c) Providing electronic printable versions of the Liberty Ride and Visitors Guide should <br />be one of the tasks for the webmaster position if approved by Town Meeting. <br />Adjourned at approximately 6:30 pm <br />Respectfully submitted, Dawn McKenna <br />Documents available at the meeting: <br />1.
