<br />Lexington Capital Expenditures Committee (CEC) Minutes, 11/5/08, 8:30am, Ellen Stone <br />Room, Cary Hall <br />Members Present: Ted Edson, Shirley Stolz, David Kanter, Charles Lamb (Chair) Others: Micah <br />Niemy (Budget Officer), Pat Goddard (Director of Public Facilities), Rob Addelson (Assistant Town <br />Manager & Town Comptroller) <br />Discussion of non-school related facilities capital items. <br />Re: Visitor's Center landscaping, SS suggested talking to HDC. Ted asked if it would bring in any new <br />revenue [PG: no]. Also asked if we really needed a landscape architect. <br />David: Why Wouldn't Chamber of Commerce do the footwork (D&E) and then perhaps ask the <br />town to pay $75K for construction. Our recommendation is for someone else to pay for the D&E <br />and that the town pays for the construction. <br />East Lexington Fire Station kitchen <br />I)K: this is not the ear to do this. <br />y <br />TE: mabe we should take a look at it <br />y <br />Recommendation: reprioritize and possibly iollowup with a tour. <br />Building Envelope <br />Is an animal shelter needed? <br />Masonry Waterproofing Plan: is it town-wide or school & town?
