<br />CEC minutes - 6 September 2001 (draft) <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:31 PM by the chairman. <br /> <br />Members Tom Griffths (TG), George Burnell (GB), Narain Bhatia (NB), <br />Shirley <br />Stolz (SS), and Charles Hornig (CH) were present. <br /> <br />David Charbonneau appeared to discuss the big-ticket road article. The <br />program is for $7M. It covers all streets except arterials in 4 years. <br />There <br />are 3 levels: maintenance, structural resurfacing, and reconstruction. <br /> <br />Phil Hamilton of the Conservation Commission told us that Wright Farm <br />won't <br />be ready in the fall. <br /> <br />At 8:14 PM NB & SS moved to go into executive session for 30 minutes to <br />discuss land acquisition. CH, TG, NB, & SS voted yes. GB abstained. <br /> <br />At 8:40 PM the committee returned to open session. <br /> <br />TG and GB are pushing a new 2-2-2 school plan. <br /> <br />MOTION: ELem. school phase 1 should go forward this fall with 2 or 4 <br />schools. <br />MOTION: We oppose opeion 3C. <br /> <br />Dates: <br /> <br />SC Public Hearing: 9/10 <br />Selectmen/ SC: 9/13 <br />Summit: 9/20 <br /> <br />Organization: <br /> <br />TG was elected chairman. <br />SS was elected vice-chairman. <br />GB and NB will share the roleofclerk. <br /> <br />Assignments: <br /> <br />GB: Schools <br />NB: DPW, Public Education <br />CH: DPW, Policy <br />TG: Selectmen <br />SS: Conservation, Fire, Library, Recreation, COA, Other <br /> <br />Undergrounding: <br /> <br />MOTION: Committee does not want to consider undergrounding until the <br />school <br />project is done. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned. Minutes were taken and submitted by Charles <br /> <br />Hornig, clerk. <br />
