<br />Convened at 7.50 present Tom, Narain, Shirley and Sheldon <br /> <br />1. Tom asked that committee should respond to Blue Ribbon Report in next <br />couple of weeks. <br /> <br />2. Discussion scheduling two more meetings <br /> <br />3. Moved to recreation committee <br /> <br />Update received on current projects <br /> - 150K Harrigton field project stopped until school commitee decides <br /> - Southerland done thru DPW. No savings even though used DPW, quote was <br />exactly the same as from outside contractors -- DPW labor costs <br />involved overtime <br /> - 1.7 million Athletic facility proceeding ahead, may need 100K for <br />elevator <br /> <br />New projects <br /> - 50K per year needed towards non-revenue activities. Enterprise funds <br />not enough. Golf Course surplus 300-350K on top line of 760K but planned <br />upgrade of the course needs most of it. <br /> - 400K water hole problem may become an emergency but currently a place <br />holder pending study <br /> <br /> <br />4. Moved to CEC meeting again <br /> General discussion on R.O.I of golf course. Town invested 11 million, <br />when <br />does it see some return?
