Proposed Minutes for Capital Expenditures Committee Meeting March 15, 2000

The Capital Expenditures Committee met with the Board of Selectmen, the School
Committee, and the Appropriation Committee in a mini-Summit at 6:45pm at Clarke School.
A majority of the Committee was present. The following minutes are excerpted from
Deborah Brown’s e-mail summarizing the meeting:

The Selectmen agreed to take the additional $125,505 proposed for roads
and reduce it by $24,136 (to pay the difference between $97,000 required
for DPW dumper/sander and the $72,136 requested for DPW equipment from
the tax levy under Article 8.) They also agreed to recalculate the 5%
for cash capital using the revised general fund figures, per Cap. Exp.
Comm. recommendation. This recalculation reveals an additional $7199 for
cash capital.
$125,505
-$ 24,136
+$ 7,199
---------------
$108,568

The two finance committees and the Selectmen voted to add this to the
$500,000 for roads subject to override for a total of $608,568 for roads
under Article 8.

The meeting adjourned at 7:30pm.

Minutes by Deboarh Brown & Tom Griffiths
