Dooks, and S.
Stolz.

We went over all the proposed capital articles for the 1999 Town
Meeting, discussed them briefly, and took straw polls. Here are the
results:

Article 2? (Special TM): Portable Classrooms (~$360,000 cash)

We had mixed feelings on these. We want more information on the
alternatives. Dooks to arrange.

Article 18: Resolution Concerning Budget Submission to Town Meeting

Waiting for more information. Hornig will get it.

Article 19: By-Law Amendment, Budget

Waiting for more information. Hornig will get it.

Article 25: Supplementary Appropriations for Authorized Capital
Improvement Projects

Indefinite Postponement, as far as we know.

Article 26: Capital Improvements (~$633,000 cash, $200,000
stabilization
fund, $700,000 chap. 90)

This is the cash renewal capital article. All of us supported the
small
remaining amount of cash capital. We feel strongly that we need more.

Article 27: Sanitary Sewers ($300,000 Enterprise)

Unanimous support.

Article 28: Water Mains ($315,000 Enterprise)

Unanimous support.

Article 29: Pine Meadows Improvements ($170,000 Enterprise)

Unanimous support.

Article 30: Athletic Field Development ($165,000 cash)

This is the Harrington School soccer field. All of us felt this
should
be postponed.

Article 31: Athletic Field Improvements (~$1,000,000 bond?)

This is a lot of work at Clarke, Diamond, and LHS. There were
mixed
