<br />Minutes - Lexington Town Tree Committee <br />September 26, 2002 @ 7:30 AM <br />Town Office Building: Room 111 <br />Attendance: J. Frey, K. Longeteig, S. Solomon and N. Walker. <br />1. The minutes of the August 8, 2002 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />2. Massachusetts ReLeaf Application: The Town has received $5.000 grant. <br />3. Draft of Lexington Minuteman article (Nell Walker): Scheduled to be <br />published in Oct. 3, 2002 issue. <br />4. Tree replacement suggestions: <br />Porter Ln., Maple & Ingleside, Worthen Rd. @ Hayden Recreation Field. <br />Need for watering truck stressed. <br />Karen Longeteig to contact Arlington on how they keep hanging baskets <br />watered. <br />5. 2003 Town Meeting Articles: <br />Voted unanimously: Request $30,000 for Tree Inventory Study. <br />Voted unanimously: Request $50,000 for tree planting (to compensate for <br />$0 in 2000 budget).* <br />6. Tree Manual: <br />Tree Manual draft working session held from 8:45 AM to 11:00 AM in <br />Planning Board Office. <br />7.
