<br />MINUTES LEXINGTON TREE COMMITTEE, MARCH 26, 2002 <br />Attendance: Frey, Mazerall, Solomon, Walker, Wood <br /> <br />Mass ReLeaf grant application mailed on time <br />1) <br /> <br />2) Vote to reverse the decision, taken March 14, to <br />incorporate Article #12 fund request into Article #4 <br /> <br />Unanimous decision to keep it as a stand-alone article <br />Reasons: a) the selectmen and both financial committees will oppose the <br />dollar request <br /> b) a stand-alone article has 15 minutes for presentation and <br />unlimited time for discussion from the floor, whereas a line item <br />in Article #4 is permirtted only 3 minutes <br />proxy votes received from Karen Longeteig and Joanna Griscom <br /> <br />3) Discussion of the strategy for floor discussion of Article #12 <br />at Town Meeting <br />a) John Frey will present the article and prepare <br />supporting slides <br />b) Susan Solomon will line up speakers supporting the <br />article <br /> Kay Tiffany, Jackie Ward, Patrick Mehr, B.B.
