<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of July 2, 2002 <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Joann Gschwendtner, Chairman; Ian Adamson, Mark DiNapoli, <br />Dan Fenn, Lynn Hopkins, and Associate Commissioners Daniel Griffin and Eleanor MacQueen. <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />13 Depot Square – <br />Ralph Pecora, representing the Town of Lexington, received approval to <br />replace an existing water fountain with new one. Certificate No. 2002C-50 <br /> <br />4 Hancock Avenue – <br />Eddi Ruchrist did not show for meeting. Hearing continued to August. <br /> <br />1386 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Steven Hurley, representing Community of Christ, received <br />approval for a bench. Certificate No. 2002C-51 <br /> <br />782 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Denis Haskin and Faith Ferguson received approval for a house <br />color chanage. Certificate No. 2002C-52 <br /> <br />844 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Craig Flynn, Elite Wireless, received approval for signage. <br />Certificate No. 2002C-53 <br /> <br />27 Depot Square – <br />Irving Smith, representing Winston Flowers, received approval for a sign. <br />Certificate No. 2002C-54 <br /> <br />1727 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Peter Niemitz, representing Copacafe, received approval for front <br />façade changes, chairs, tables and umbrellas for outside, glass awning, building lighting, and <br />signage. Mr. Fenn recused himself from hearing. Certificate No. 2002C-55 <br /> <br />CONTINUED: <br /> <br />73 Waltham Street – <br />Andrew Bedar from BKA Architects, representing Verizon, received <br />approval for replacing all existing panels and adding section on roof and painting to match <br />existing penthouse color. Discussed the transformer and how the Commission never approved <br />its location. Will request the Building Inspector to write a letter to NStar. Certificate No. <br />2002C-56 <br /> <br />INFORMALS: <br /> <br />956 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Richard Bechtel, representing Erik Kondo, presented plans for <br />addition to rear of home that includes elevator. Will return for formal hearing. <br /> <br />782 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Richard Bechtel, representing Denis Haskin and Faith Ferguson, <br />presented plans for an addition to the side of the home.
