<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of February 7, 2002 <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Joann Gschwendtner, Ian Adamson, Mark DiNapoli, Dan Fenn, <br />and Associate Commissioners Daniel Griffin and James Lee <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />912 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Jeff and Nancy Leonard received approval for a “circa 1820” <br />sign. Certificate No. 2002C-8 <br /> <br />One Harrington Road – <br />Raychel Greenwald, Lexington Signs & Graphics, representing Joann <br />Gschwendtner, received approval to replace existing “Augustus” sign using same lettering, size, <br />and color. Certificate No. 2002C-9 <br /> <br />1351 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Jeffrey Ellowitz presented plans for fencing. Commissioners <br />denied request by 4-1 vote (DiNapoli approved, Gschwendtner, Adamson, Fenn and Griffin <br />denied). Certificate No. 2002C-10 <br /> <br />AT&T Broadband – <br />Fred Dyers received approval to replace existing above ground service <br />enclosures with a vault type that is buried. Certificate No. 2002C-11 <br /> <br />CONTINUED: <br /> <br />840 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Judi and John Brosnan received approval for an addition to the <br />rear of their home. Certificate No. 2002C-12 <br /> <br />30 Hancock Street – <br />Raynor Warner received approval for change of material to the driveway <br />and sidewalk grassed area that was already done, but was denied approval for the granite pavers <br />used on the sidewalk and curb cut. Sidewalk and curb cut must be removed and bituminous <br />concrete returned by June 1, 2002. Certificate No. 2002C-13 <br /> <br />INFORMALS: <br /> <br />10 Brigham Road – <br />Danielle Buckley, Bechtel Frank Erickson Architects, presented plans for <br />an addition. Will return in March for formal. <br /> <br />An extension was approved for 1912 Massachusetts Avenue (Hancock Church), Certificate No. <br />99C-50 to allow the hand railing to be installed. <br /> <br />A change in roofing material was approved for 52 Waltham Street (Certificate No. 2000C-53). <br />The new roof will be “Dura Slate Roofing System” manufactured by Royal Building Products. <br /> <br />The minutes of January 3, 2002 were approved. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m. <br /> <br />1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420 <br />
