<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of November 1, 2001 <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Joann Gschwendtner, Ian Adamson, Dan Fenn, and Lynn <br />Hopkins, and Associate Commissioners Daniel Griffin and Eleanor MacQueen <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />45 Waltham Street – <br />Richard Batten, representing Encore Bank, presented plans for signage. <br />Also informed applicant that building has signage guidelines that must be followed. <br />Commissioners requested presence of owners at continued hearing to discuss completion of <br />construction project. <br /> <br />8 Hancock Street <br /> – Louis Counts received approval to re-roof garage with shingles that match <br />house. Hearing continued for garage door. Certificate No. 2001C- <br /> <br />1387 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Douglas McDonald received approval to turn left bay of 3-car <br />garage into studio office. Certificate No. 2001C- <br /> <br />924 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />David Yates received approval for a wood shed. Certificate No. <br />2001C- <br /> <br />Lexington Center – Newspaper Units – <br />William Hadley, representing the Town of Lexington, <br />received approval to install 2 8-paper newspaper unitsback to back on Massachusetts Avenue <br />outside Videosmith. Certificate No. 2001C- <br /> <br /> <br />CONTINUED: <br /> <br />1575/1625 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Peter Chalpin, representing the Town of Lexington, <br />received approval for Windstrom storm windows for the Town Hall and Police Station. <br />Certificate No. 2001C- <br /> <br />19 Depot Square - <br />Pushpa Kovina, representing Aalok, received approval for one sign. <br />Certificate No. 2001C- <br /> <br />3-5 Bedford Street – <br />Scott Armstrong from Custance Bros. Contractors, representing the <br />Lexington Masonic Temple, received approval for Stergis storm window replacements. <br />Certificate No. 2001C- <br /> <br />1139 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />James Feeney received approval to use Brookstone Pavers by <br />Ideal for new driveway area up to gate.
