<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of March 1, 2001 <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Ian Adamson, Mark DiNapoli, Joann Gschwendtner, and <br />Associate Commissioners Jeffrey Denzak and Daniel Griffin <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />1740 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Jim McCoy, representing Atlas Travel, received approval for <br />two signs. Signs will be black background with gold lettering; one on each corner of building. <br />Commission asked that purple border be removed and windows kept clear. Certificate No. <br />2001C-13 <br /> <br />1377 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Carole and Joseph Stavenhagen received approval for a hip cap <br />roof over existing 9x4 foot porch. Materials will match existing. Porch will include trellis on <br />one side and light underneath roof. Certificate No. 2001C-14 <br /> <br />1 Bedford Street – <br />Charles C. French, representing Buchman Tavern, received approval for a <br />sign to replace existing using same wording. New sign will be made from high-density urethane <br />SignFoam II and will have removable panel for when open. Certificate No. 2001C-15 <br /> <br />CONTINUED: <br /> <br />52 Waltham Street – <br />Matthew Bathon, representing Windspeed, received approval for 2 double <br />sided signs; one located in front on existing post and one in rear hanging from porch. Sign will <br />have number and street with previously approved panels screwed on to both sides. Certificate <br />No. 2001C-16 <br /> <br />905 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Jack Shay presented landscaping plans. Continued for changes. <br /> <br />10 Hancock Avenue – <br />Scott Kyle presented plans to partially demolish existing detached garage <br />and build a porch/deck and small room addition. Continued for detailed drawings. <br /> <br />10 and 12 Hancock Avenue – <br />Scott Kyle received approval for shared driveway design and <br />materials. Certificate No. 2001C-17 <br /> <br />7 Percy Road – <br />Matthew Thenen received approval for house including wood frieze over garage <br />doors and porch and detail on back. Certificate No. 2001C-18 <br /> <br />8 Curve Street – <br />Joe Hunt received approval for 2 garage doors (Holmes Doors – The <br />Williamsburg), 2 additional 6x6 windows on garage, 2 additional 6x6 windows on existing <br />porch, and change to porch and stairs on front.
