<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of March 2, 2000 <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Ian Adamson, Mark DiNapoli, Dan Fenn, Joann Gschwendtner, <br />and Lynn Hopkins; Associate Commissioners:, Jeffrey Denzak, Daniel Griffin, and Eleanor <br />MacQueen. <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />870 Massachusetts Avenue - <br />Laura Jean Herlihy received approval to remove vinyl siding and <br />repair or replace clapboard to be painted white; wood shutters painted black; removal of front <br />door for approximately 1 to 2 months for repair; and swing set located behind garage for 10 year <br />period. Hearing continued for front door hardware information. Certificate No. 2000C-16 <br /> <br />23 Bedford Street - <br />Leanne Cunningham received approval for a swing set for 10 years; <br />repainting front door same color; new front outside light fixture; replacement wood storm door to <br />be approved by Commissioner Hopkins. Continued for roof ventilation. Certificate No. 2000C- <br />17 <br /> <br />Center Signage - <br />Marita Hartshorn, representing the Lexington Bicycle Advisory Committee, <br />received approval for three (3) safety signs (12" x 16") to be located along Mass. Avenue and for <br />two (2) signs (4" x 10") along the bike path. Three (3) jaywalking signs along Mass. Avenue <br />will be removed. Certificate No. 2000C-18 <br /> <br />2016 Massachusetts Avenue - <br />Philip and Janet Hurd received approval for a swing set for 10 <br />years. Slide and canopy will be solid green. Certificate No. 2000C-19 <br /> <br /> <br />CONTINUED HEARINGS <br /> <br />1605 Mass. Avenue – Cary Hall – <br />W.H. Rowe received approval for the addition of an elevator <br />to Cary Hall. Approval subject to granite, bricks, and mortar mock review. Certificate No. <br />2000C-20 <br /> <br />40 Hancock Street <br /> – Richard Millman received approval for eave and gazebo brackets and <br />details. Certificate No. 2000C-21 <br /> <br />1088 Mass. Avenue – <br /> Donald and Victoria Sullivan presenting drawings on a new garage and <br />driveway.
