<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of November 2, 2000 <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Ian Adamson, Joann Gschwendtner, Lynn Hopkins, and Associate <br />Commissioners Daniel Griffin and Eleanor MacQueen <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />10 Muzzey Street – <br />Jennifer Patterson, representing Prime Cut Hair Salon, presented plans for a <br />new sign with a name change to Blue Complete Hair Salon. Hearing continued for minor <br />changes to sign detail. <br /> <br />898 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Eileen and Monica Cotter received approval for repainting house, <br />including trim and storms, shed and deck and bulkhead. Certificate No. 2000C-100 <br /> <br />CONTINUED: <br /> <br />13 Depot Square – Lexington Historical Society <br /> – Gardner Hayward received approval for a <br />temporary construction sign to be put on the Depot Building. Ms. Gschwendtner recused herself <br />from the hearing. Certificate No. 2000C-101 <br /> <br />1844 Massachusetts Avenue – Crafty Yankee Home <br />– Kathy Fields received approval for a <br />hanging sign using existing hardware. Certificate No. 2000C-103 <br /> <br />905 Mass. Avenue – <br />Jack Shay received approval for repair of column adding 4” of detail to <br />bottom of column (vote 4-1 with Adamson opposed) and 2 doors (one located on east side of <br />porch and other at kitchen. Certificate No. 2000C-102 <br /> <br />1994 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Joyce Roetter received approval for a garage door. Certificate <br />No. 2000C-104 <br /> <br />INFORMALS: <br /> <br />2 Bloomfield Street – <br />Maria Romano presented some preliminary plans for an addition. <br />Commissioners felt plans were appropriate and gave suggestions on what to include on the detail <br />plans for formal hearing. <br /> <br />1475 Massachusetts Avenue – <br />Fred Donovan asked the Commission the process for demolition <br />and rebuilding a pergola in the rear of the Muzzey Condominiums. The Commissioners <br />suggested coming for a formal hearing in December to request demolition of the pergola. <br /> <br />31 Curve Street – <br />Julie Matheson interested in putting offer in on house but wanted to ask the <br />Commission if they would approve a dog walk fenced area on the property.
