<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of October 5, 2000 <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Mark DiNapoli, Dan Fenn, Joann Gschwendtner, Lynn Hopkins, <br />and Associate Commissioners Jeffrey Denzak and Eleanor MacQueen <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />31 Hancock Street <br /> – Marc Bohn received approval to install a paver driveway. Certificate No. <br />2000C-93 <br /> <br />10 Depot Square – Lexington Historical Society <br /> – Gardner Hayward presented plans for a <br />temporary construction sign to be put on the Depot Building. Commissioners felt sign was too <br />large and asked that it be scaled down to fit between columns. Hearing continued to November. <br />Ms. Gschwendtner recused herself from the hearing. <br /> <br />9 Hancock Street <br />– Dawn McKenna received approval to remove herb garden, add crusher run <br />driveway for three cars, replace existing fencing, removal of concrete post, relocate stones by <br />front door. Certificate No. 2000C-94 <br /> <br />1844 Massachusetts Avenue – Crafty Yankee Home <br />– Kathy Fields received approval to <br />remove the existing awning, including repairing brick and mortar, and replace with projecting <br />sign. Continued for sign detail. Certificate No. 2000C-95 <br /> <br />CONTINUED: <br /> <br />10 Muzzey Street – Christian Science Reading Room – <br />Susan LaPointe received approval for <br />a wooden literature box painted to match existing trim to be placed below the front window by <br />the door. Certificate No. 2000C-96 <br /> <br />905 Mass. Avenue – <br />Jack Shay received approval to build a 2 foot rock wall, using existing <br />rocks, to be located along property line on rear side. Metal vent stack will be moved to rear <br />northwest side. Certificate No. 2000C-97 <br /> <br />884 Mass. Avenue – <br />David Kelland received approval to extend porch by 18 inches and replace <br />windows with 6x6 Brosco true divided light. Certificate No. 2000C-98 <br /> <br />6 Meriam Street – Church of our Redeemer – <br />Sara Bittenbender received approval to move <br />previously approved bench from rear of church to side by handicap entrance.
