<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of September 7, 2000 <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Ian Adamson, Mark DiNapoli, Dan Fenn, Joann Gschwendtner, <br />Lynn Hopkins, and Associate Commissioners Daniel Griffin and Eleanor MacQueen <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />45 Bedford Street – <br />Peter Torode,Fire Department, received approval to install two air <br />conditioning units on the Camellia Place side behind the chimney with condition of shrubbery <br />surrounding units. Certificate No. 2000C-84 <br /> <br />Bedford Street – <br /> Dave Carbonneau received approval for the Town of Lexington to replace <br />existing bituminous concrete with Portland Cement concrete on the east side of Bedford Street <br />from the Bike Path on Hancock Street to the office complex on Bedford Street. Certificate No. <br />2000C-85 <br /> <br />5 Harrington Road – <br />Tom Fortmann received approval to reroof with red cedar shingles with <br />copper drip edges. Ms. Gschwendter recused herself from hearing. Certificate No. 2000C-86 <br /> <br />10 Muzzey Street – Indulgence Day Spa – <br />Laurel Carey received approval for a sign (11.5’ <br />wide by 17.5” high antique brown background with carved gold letters). Certificate No. 2000C- <br />87 <br /> <br />6 Oak Street – <br />Howard Bernstein received approvalto have an existing play set (brown with <br />yellow canopy) in his yard for 5 years. Certificate No. 2000C-88 <br /> <br />1756/1752 Mass. Avenue – <br />Steve Hurley, representing Jeff Lyons, presented plans to alter the <br />building back to how it looked originally. Continued for changes. <br /> <br />884 Mass. Avenue – <br />David Kelland received approval for a 8x12 foot shed to be located <br />approximately 130 feet back from street along property line back to back to neighbors shed. <br />Continued for house roof and porch. Certificate No. 2000C-89 <br /> <br />1963 Mass. Avenue – <br />Ann Adley received approval for a 42” iron fence to be located between <br />the driveway and St. Brigid parking lot. The fence will start after the apple tree and end at the <br />property line. Shrubbery is a condition of approval. Certificate No. 2000C-90 <br /> <br />CONTINUED: <br /> <br />905 Mass. Avenue – <br />Jack Shay received approval for change of window in bathroom, granite <br />around porch (rather than lattice), location of utility meter. Certificate No. 2000C-91 <br /> <br />8 Curve Street – <br />Joe Hunt received approval to enlarge garage in front by 3 feet.
