<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of April 6, 2000 <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Ian Adamson, Mark DiNapoli, Dan Fenn, Joann Gschwendtner, <br />and Lynn Hopkins; Associate Commissioners: Daniel Griffin and Eleanor MacQueen. <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />1775 Mass. Avenue - Carlson Real Estate - <br />Ed Juralewicz, United Sign Co., Inc. was unable to <br />attend. Hearing continued to May. <br /> <br />1575 Mass. Avenue - Police Station <br /> - Dave Carbonneau, representing the Town of Lexington, <br />stnd <br />received approval for a louver to be located between the 1 and 2 floor of the police station on <br />the School Administration Building side, and a new condensing unit in the same location as the <br />old. Certificate No. 2000C-22 <br /> <br />1709 Mass. Avenue - Carolinas <br />- Dale Broach received approval for 8 tables, 28 chairs, and 8 <br />umbrellas for the outside patio. Certificate No. 2000C-24 <br /> <br />36 Waltham Street - <br />Bryn Robinson, Boston Sign Co., representing Hope Zuleta, received <br />approval for a black sign with painted gold lettering and green border to hang on top of window. <br />Certificate No. 2000C-23 <br /> <br />7 Harrington Road - First Parish Garden Committee <br />- Nancy Earsy received approval to <br />build a memorial garden behind the first parish Church. The garden will include an arbor, <br />benches, rock wall, a water feature, paving stones, and plantings. Certificate No. 2000C-25 <br /> <br />36 Bedford Street - Stop and Shop - <br />Tom Fenn and Thomas Scott received approval to enclose <br />the loading dock. Commissioners asked that the compactor be painted to match surroundings. <br />Mr. DiNapoli stepped out for this hearing. Certificate No. 2000C-26 <br /> <br />Mass. Avenue - between Pleasant Street and Gibson Road <br /> - Dave Carbonneau, representing <br />the Town of Lexington, received approval to put up school zone signage (18 signs). Vote was 4- <br />1 with Mr. DiNapoli opposing. Certificate No. 2000C-27 <br /> <br />Mr. Fenn joined the meeting. <br /> <br />Bedford Street at Harrington Road - <br />Dave Carbonneau, representing the Town of Lexington, <br />presented plans for additional changes to the Bedford Street/Harrington Road intersection. Also <br />discussed brick sidewalk in front of Buckman Tavern. Commission feels the Town should come <br />up with a complete plan of the area before we do pieces. Also should contact the Historical <br />Society.
