<br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Historic Districts Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of February 3, 2000 <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioners in attendance: Ian Adamson, Dan Fenn, Joann Gschwendtner, and Lynn <br />Hopkins; Associate Commissioners:, Jeffrey Denzak, Elaine Doran, and Daniel Griffin. <br /> <br />PETITIONS HEARD: <br /> <br />1605 Mass. Avenue – Cary Hall – <br />Tom Murphy and Bill Murphy from W.H. Rowe presented <br />plans for an elevator at Cary Hall. Commissioners felt design was good but continued for <br />additional detail. <br /> <br />1433 Mass. Avenue - <br /> David and Linda Williams received approval for a new storm door, <br />fencing, landscaping, and new driveway and walkway. Certificate No. 2000C-11 <br /> <br />7 Harrington Road – First Parish Unitarian Church – <br />Russ Brami received approval for a <br />roof vent and two (2) storm windows. Hearing continued for storm window details. Dan Fenn <br />recused himself. Certificate No. 2000C-12 <br /> <br />CONTINUED HEARINGS <br /> <br />40 Hancock Street <br /> – Richard Millman received approval to remove rear chimney scaled down <br />gazebo, bay window (to match existing). Continued for more detail on eave and gazebo detail. <br /> <br />922 Mass. Avenue – <br /> Edwin and Britta McCarthy received approval for an addition to the rear of <br />the house, new front door, chimney caps, and plaque on front. Certificate No. 2000C-13 <br /> <br />1709 Mass. Avenue – <br /> Dale Broach, representing Carolinas, received approval for three lettered <br />gold signs to be located on Mass. Avenue, Edison Way, and rear. Certificate No. 2000C-4 <br /> <br />1088 Mass. Avenue – <br /> Donald and Victoria Sullivan received approval new Caradco wood <br />windows with 7/8” muttons. Continued for new Garage and driveway. Certificate No. 2000C-7 <br /> <br />1776 Mass. Avenue – <br /> Hazel Hopkins, representing Citizens Bank, received approval for Dark <br />Bronze lettering with logo on front with necessary repair to building facade. Rear sign repaired <br />and repainted white with black lettering, and repair and paint front entry alcove. (4-1 vote, <br />Associate Commissioner Doran opposed) Continued for information on plaque at alley. <br />Certificate No. 2000C-14 <br /> <br />31 Curve Street – <br /> David and Bill Rothfuchs received approval for Massachusetts Field Stone <br />wall (6 to 8 inch rocks) Hearing left open for any minor changes as project goes along. <br />Certificate No. 2000C-15 <br /> <br /> <br />1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420 <br /> <br />
