Pine Meadows
Stephen Kay of “Golf Course Design” located in New Jersey was hired to evaluate the golf
course. A mini master plan dated 2/15/2006 was handed out to the Lexington Recreation
Committee at their June meeting. Bill Harrison, President of New England Golf Corporation was
on hand to review the plan and answer any questions. Bill Harrison also reviewed and talked
about what has been done at the golf course over the past 10 years.
Improvements include: new and expanded parking lot, new maintenance building, maintenance
of clubhouse, new cart paths, new curbing, tree planting, automation to half the irrigation system.

Player numbers have been stable over the past few years, but lower than 6 years ago. What can
be done to improve numbers? Main reason for low numbers is the weather and record-breaking
rainfall in June. Also, people do not have as much time to play a round of golf. Customer
Satisfaction Surveys are done on an annual basis. What have past customer surveys said?
ndth
??
2 and 8 greens- hard to putt
??
People have less time to play
Ways to increase revenue?
??
Solicit corporate leagues from surrounding businesses to fill lunch time slot
??
Partner with JP Carroll/Stone Meadow (and vice versa)
??
Offer free teaching round
??
Advertise group rate in newspaper

Karen will review some of these options with Bill Harrison to determine if they are feasible and
cost effective.

1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420
