Chisholm <br />Richard Thuma <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> <br />February 15, 2006 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> Sandra Shaw, Rick DeAngelis and Bob Boudreau <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> Karen Simmons, Sheila Butts, and Dave Pinsonneault <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA: <br /> <br />1.Citizens and other boards <br /> <br /> There were no citizens or other board members present. <br /> <br />2.Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />The minutes of the January 18, 2006 Recreation Committee meeting were accepted by a vote <br />of 3-0. <br /> <br />3. Welcome Bob Boudreau <br />Sandra Shaw welcomed new member Bob Boudreau to the Recreation Committee. <br /> <br />4.Lincoln Park Update <br /> <br />Karen Simmons informed the Recreation Committee that DPW would be installing a <br />guardrail around the fields at Lincoln to protect them from vehicle access. Cars got on to <br />Field #2 this winter and did “donuts”. The money for the guardrail will come out of the <br />article. Work on the Overlook is proceeding, but at least a month’s worth of work remains <br />before the project is finished. The contractor will be reminded to lock the Lincoln Street <br />chain gate nightly. <br />Karen Simmons reported that Dave Pinsonneault had met recently with McLaughlin <br />Construction, who will be handling the sewer connection at Lincoln Park. Work will begin <br />once the contract has been completed. <br /> <br />5.Recreation Committee Member on CPA Committee <br /> <br />The Recreation Committee voted 3 – 0 to name Sandra Shaw as the Recreation Committee <br />member to the Community Preservation Act Committee, pending approval of the CPA by <br />Lexington voters on March 6, 2006. <br /> <br />1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420 <br /> <br /> <br />
