He
noted that the new putting green came out nicely and that the wells that were put in 1 ½ years
ago are working well.

The new irrigation system is projected to be constructed in the fall with a start date in October.
The contract has been awarded to Lawhorn Irrigation.

This year we have a new three-year golf cart lease. Due to many requests we ordered carts with
roofs. The management company has been receiving a lot of positive feedback about how good
rd
the course looks. Twelve new maple trees have been placed on the right on the 3 hole. The
rd
rough on the 3 is being moved toward the left. The sand traps on #3 were finished in May.

th
New England Golf and the Town have also received positive feedback on the 9 hole with the
thth
cart path on the other side of the net now. There is also a new cart path between the 5 and 6
thth
tees. The students from Minuteman Tech did a great job with the landscaping on the 4 and 6
holes. They rebuilt a retaining wall and stairs.

Parking continues to be a problem. Dick Lakutis, a landscape architect, was hired to recommend
a plan for increased parking. One consideration is moving the maintenance shed over to the
woods next to #1 and 3 and then reconfiguring the parking lot.

One thing New England Golf would like to do is to get the course re-rated.

1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420
