Neumeier RECREATION COMMITTEE MINUTES October 20, 1999 Members Present: Sandra Shaw, Pam Varrin, Dick Neumeier, Don Chisholm, Rick DeAngelis Staff Present: Karen Simmons, Joseph Leniart AGENDA: 1. Citizens and other boards No citizens or other boards were present. 2. Meeting minutes from September 22, 1999 The minutes were not discussed. 3. Skateboard Park th A topographic survey of the skate park site was scheduled for October 20, but because of the weather conditions might not have happened. Once this is done a landscape architect will draw up the blueprints and specifications for the project. Olga Guttag will get a building permit from the Town. Ground breaking is scheduled for the second week in November. 4. Little League fees The representative from Little League was unable to attend the meeting this week to discuss the fee increase. The Recreation Committee agreed to allow Little League to reschedule their meeting with the committee one more time before they make a final decision on the fee increase. Little League is now scheduled to meet with the Recreation Committee on Tuesday, November 16, 1999. 5. Capital project update The work at Rindge playground is almost complete. Recreation had to pay the Parks Department staff overtime to complete the project on the weekends.
