<br /> <br />Lexington Housing Partnership <br />Meeting Minutes for March 24, 2011 <br /> <br />Attendees: <br /> <br /> LHP: Bob Bicknell, Tom Harden, Chris Kluchman, Ken Kreutziger, Winifred McGowan, Betsey <br />Weiss, Wendy Manz, Julie Duncan, Melinda Walker, Florence Baturin, Carol Marine <br /> <br />LexHAB: Lester Savage, Bill Hayes, Gerry Howell, Robert Burbridge <br /> <br />Lexington Housing Authority: Steve Keane <br /> <br />Two Guests <br /> <br />Chris Kluchman chaired the meeting; The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm. <br /> <br />Old Business <br />Minutes <br />November 30, 2010 and February 17, 2011 minutes are not available. <br /> <br />Visit from LexHAB Board <br />LexHAB board members described a proposal to move forward to meet with Board of Selectmen about <br />the importance of affordable housing throughout Lexington. The LHP moved and seconded a motion to <br />support the LexHAB proposal to seek commitment for affordable housing from the Board of Selectmen. <br /> <br />Busa Proposal Follow Up <br /> <br /> Mr. Kreutziger described a concept plan for the Busa property and the research he embarked on <br />to get background information about availability of sanitary sewer, water, grading and other <br />utilities. The concept has an athletic field, 1.2 acres for housing and area for farming. <br /> <br /> The group discussed the pros and cons of various aspects of the plan. <br /> <br /> Ms. Kluchman noted that the work Ken did on this effort was likely worth $15,000 of pro-bono <br />land planning services. The group thanked Ken for his extensive work and research. <br /> <br />Down Payment Assistance Program <br />Discussion was put off until the April meeting. <br /> <br />New Business <br />Lexington Housing Foundation (LHF) funding request <br />The LHP adjourned for the purposes of opening the LHF meeting. The LHP reconvened <br />following the LHF meeting. <br /> <br />Discuss Partnership Goals <br />The group agreed by consensus that the next steps were for an ad hoc group to put together a list <br />of overall goals that could direct the work for the Partnership. The draft goals will start with the <br />list from January and “massage” it to add different levels and details in terms of Goals, Strategies <br />and Actions. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
