Mr. Valente indicated support for requesting <br />supplemental appropriation for FY2011 funding for web site. <br /> <br />Mr. Harry Forsdick, web site consultant and designer for the current web site of the <br />th <br />Lexington Historical Society attended to learn of interests of the Lexington 300 , his <br />interest in helping with our web site, and plans for submitting a proposal to the <br />committee. <br /> <br />Denise Dube has looked into options for presence with Facebook and Twitter. <br /> <br /> Members present discussed interest in having the web site include such things as: <br /> <br /> <br />Timeline <br /> <br /> <br />Photos <br /> <br /> <br />Calendar <br /> <br /> <br />Videos, music, and other interactive options <br /> <br /> <br />Historical features <br /> <br /> <br />Community contributions to the time capsule, virtual time capsule <br /> <br />Possible web site categories – learn, visit, join, experience, what is? <br />Harry Forsdick suggested members visit the web sit of the Lexington Historical Society – <br />www.lexingtonhistory.org for comparison. <br /> <br />Blog – possible means by communicating ‘where are we’ snippets <br /> <br />What is editorial responsibility re: what we post from the public? <br />Email lists are deemed a thing of the past – today’s users subscribe to a blog. <br /> <br />Harry Forsdick suggested the town also acquire: www.lexington300.com and <br />www.lexington300.org <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
