Meeting of November 15, 2004 – 1:30 p.m.
Town Office Building – Selectmen’s Meeting Room
Tally of Out-of-Country Ballots - November 2, 2004 State Election
Present: Luanna Devenis ( R), Chairman; Ann H. Miller ( R); Donna Hooper (D), Clerk
Chairman Luanna Devenis called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.
Registrars called the meeting for the sole purpose of tallying out-of-country ballots
received after, but within 10 days of, the close of polls for the November 2, 2004
State Election as instructed by state statute. Results will be sent to the Secretary of
State as part of Lexington’s November 2, 2004 election results.
Meeting was held in the absence of Registrar Mary C. Abegg who died suddenly on
November 11, 2004 after 22 years of service as a Registrar.
Luanna Devenis, Ann Miller, and Donna Hooper counted 43 out-of-country/overseas
ballots. Also tallied were 5 provisional ballots for which the Town Clerk, after
research, deemed eligible voters. Results were provided for inclusion in the Official
Election Results to be reported to the Secretary of State.
Present was one public viewer.
Meeting adjourned at 2:25 p.m.
