Board of Registrar Meeting of
November 16, 2002

Present: Registrars Mary Abegg, Luanna Devenis and Donna Hooper
Absent: Registrar Connie Foster
Meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. to count overseas ballots for the November 5, 2002
State Election.

Ballots were counted and tallied into the returns for the November 5 election.
New Business: Registrars briefly reviewed the Ney-Dodd-Hoyer-McConnell Help America
Vote Act of 2002 and possible outreach to high school and college aged voters to serve as
Election Officers.
Registrars discussed MGL c.54 §16A and voted unanimously to request adoption at the 2003
Annual Town Meeting, with adoption of such act viewed to provide greater flexibility to
administering election and retaining election officers.
Meeting adjourned approximately 10:30 a.m.
