562 <br />aARPAYT FOR STATE ELECTION <br />Commonwealth of - z , ,iassachusetts 11iddlesex, ss. <br />To the Constable of the Town of Lexington, in said <br />County, Greeting: <br />in the name of the Commonwealth you are hereby required to <br />notify and warn the inhabitants of said town who are qualified <br />to vote in Elections to meet in the Adams School, East Lexington <br />(Precinct One) and Cary - L�Iiremorial Hall,, Lexington Center (Precinct <br />Two, Three and Four), on <br />- F 7 NOTTEHBER, 1940 <br />TUESDAY, THE FIFTH � f O <br />A <br />at 6:00 o'clock A. to cast their ballots for the following <br />officers: <br />- .Presidential Electors; Governor; Lieutenant Governor; <br />Secretary; Treasurer; Auditor; Attorney General; Senator <br />in Congress; Representative in Congress; Councillor; <br />Senator; Three Representatives in General Court one <br />Clerk of Courts; One '-Register of Deeds; Two county Commis- <br />sioners; County Treasurer, <br />a nd to take action or the following questions: <br />, C <br />-7 S T 10 IT I <br />To obtain a full expression of opinion, voters should on <br />all three of the following questions: <br />(a) If a voter desires to permit the sale in this town of any <br />and all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on and off the premises <br />where sold, he will vote 1 7ESTT on all three questions. <br />(b) if he desires to permit the sale herein of wines and malt <br />beverages only to be drunk an and off the _premises where sold, <br />he will vote "NO on question one, 11 7 — E-S` 1 on question two and <br />"170" on auestion three. <br />1 c) If he desires to permit the sale herein of all alcoholic <br />beverages but only in packages, so called, not to be drunk on <br />the Dremises where sold, he will vote ITINTO" on questions one <br />and two, and 11 1 7 ESII on question three. <br />W if he desires to permit the sale herein of wines and malt <br />beverages to be drunk on and off the premises where sold and <br />in addition other alcoholic beverages, but only in packages, <br />so called, not to be drunk on the - premises where sold, he will <br />vote ". 1,7 0 11 on cuestion one and 11 YES 11 on questions two and three. <br />(e) if he , desires to prohibit the sale herein of any and all <br />alcoholic beverages whether to be drunk on or off the premises <br />where sold, he will vote "1 on all three questions. <br />1.
